What and where: Bhutan crossing east to west.

Huge thanks for the organization and for the way you have taken care of us, calling often and ensuring we were fine. This has been fully appreciated!

All the planning and the places where we stayed were well thought out. There has been no negative note!

Bhutan is an amazing country, and we have enjoyed every bit of what we have seen. It truly felt like being in a fairy tale… Definitely a unique experience, and even more as I have discovered buddhism as well. I am now into reading & learning more about it :-).

I also want to tell you about our guide Dargay and driver Wangchuk: both have been more than anything we could hope for. Kindness, professionalism, curiosity to talk, enthusiasm to share their culture, even caring for us like mothers with coffee & tea breaks in the most improbable places… they have truly given us the best service! We even visited Dargay’s family, what an incredible moment!

Finally, in talking with friends, I am already recommending you, so I am sure we will talk again!

Wat en waar: Jeep-rondtocht Sikkim, Bhutan en Assam.

De hele reis kende veel hoogtepunten, de prachtige natuur, de mooie wandelingen, de vele kloosters en de bijzondere ontmoetingen. Onze gidsen Luis in Sikkim en Kencho in Bhutan die ons veel interessante informatie hebben gegeven en ook steeds aan ons welzijn dachten. Kencho heeft samen met Tashi zelfs een complete warme lunch voor ons de berg op gesjouwd naar Tigersnest. Zowel Besin in Sikkim als Tashi in Bhutan waren beide uitstekende chauffeurs waarbij we ons, ondanks de vaak zeer slechte wegen, veilig hebben gevoeld.

The trip you organized for us was a dream! We are very grateful to you.

Everything was perfect and Dargay and Wangchuk are really nice persons. We laughed a lot with them and I think they appreciated our companionship.

All accommodations were nice and comfortable. The schedule was great.

If I had a suggestion, I would recommend that more time be allowed in Trongsa to enjoy the museum and its surroundings.

Perfect, zeer persoonlijk, kennis van zaken en contact zelfs op vriendschappelijk basis .

Wat en waar:Motorreis Ladakh met verblijf in Shyok River Lodge.

Lokale reisexpert heeft in zijn eigen verblijf in Shyok een prima service op het gebied van gezuiverd water e.a. bovendien is hij zeer goed in staat om uitgebreide toelichting te geven over de ecologische en milieuvriendelijke initiatieven die in Shyok e.o. zijn en worden ontwikkeld. Heel leerzaam en onderhoudend!

Wat en waar: Verblijf in Shyok River Lodge.

Een prachtig verblijf in een traditioneel Ladakhi huis, temidden van de velden. Hier komen niet veel toeristen en je dompelt je onder in de lokale cultuur. Het voelt als thuiskomen door de hartelijkheid van de medewerkers/bewoners en de gezellige eetkamer waar altijd een kopje thee en koekjes klaarstaan. Ook wordt hier elke dag een heerlijk ontbijt, lunch en diner geserveerd.

De kamers zijn comfortabel en wij hadden een indrukwekkend uitzicht over de vallei en de rivier. Er was geen internet en niet altijd warm water, maar dat heeft voor ons alleen maar bijgedragen aan de ervaring en onderdompeling in dit gebied.

Tijdens het verblijf heeft Jan ons meegenomen op een wandeling door het dorp, waar hij ons alles heeft uitgelegd over water- en energiemanagement in dit droge gebied, waardoor de inwoners van Shyok hier al jarenlang kunnen overleven. Ook de wandeling door de vallei was indrukwekkend!

Dit was een van de fijnste verblijven tijdens onze rondreis, doordat we hier een kijkje hebben gekregen in het lokale leven van de Ladakhi’s en we hier heerlijk tot rust konden komen. Erg tevreden!

Wat en waar: Overland jeepreis van Delhi naar Ladakh & verblijf Shyok River Lodge

Het was een adembenemende reis die zeer veel indruk op ons achtergelaten heeft. De waanzinnig mooie en spectaculaire autorit van Dehli naar Ladakh… De spectaculaire bergen… hebben ons alle drie tot en met de laatste dag gefascineerd.

In een land waar alles mis kan gaan, een reis waarop alles vlekkeloos verloopt. Ongelofelijk!

What and where: Trek and bike tour in Ladakh.

We deliberately chose an active holiday, and got exactly what we wished for, and more. With the help of the local travel expert, we chose a combination of trekking and an ATB tour. The program was well aligned with the recommended time to acclimatise to the altitude, and included plenty of rest days to enjoy Leh.

We did a 4-day trekking in a beautiful area west of Leh. During the trek, we slept in the homes of local families, which gave us the chance to experience the authentic lifestyle. We walked from one beautiful village between the mountains to the next, along beautiful passes with snowy mountain peaks as a background. After the trek we made a 7-day ATB tour, going down from over 5400 meters to around 3000 meters. Despite (or because of!) the bad roads this was a fantastic experience. We drove through a gradually changing landscape, which got greener and greener, until we even reached a desert in the valley.

During the tour we had an unexpected treat, namely attending a ceremony where the Dalai Lama was present, an awesome experience! All in all, the best vacation we have booked so far! Besides, and this is agreed by many to whom we spoke during our trip, Ladakh is the most beautiful and cleanest part of India.

What and where: Self-drive tour crossing Bhutan

I want to thank you so much for making possible this amazing, incredible trip! You can’t put Bhutan in words, this was awesome! But next time, I’ll have to plan in much more time. The good thing is: With this ‘rush through’ (14 days), I have seen most of the sights, so next time (yes!) there will be much more time for culture and the people.

The hotels you put me in were absolutely amazing/insane! I did remember, that a 3* hotel in Asia is like an 5* hotel elsewhere in the world (except for things like a pool/spa/whatever), but they were also placed perfectly, so when looking out of the window, there was a great scenery. I’m very thankful f or this, after being on the road for this long time, it was good to have a place to come down in the evening.
