About SUNNY RIDGE LODGE

This Kumaoni village home, built in the early 1900s, will be your abode for three days or more while you explore the surrounding villages, forests and ancient temples. The lodge is built out of stone and mortar while the bedrooms have been rustically plastered with mud. The property is located at about 1450m overlooking a traditional village and the extensive forested mountains of the Binsar Range. Both Binsar Sanctuary and the ancient temples of Jageshwar are very close, and for those who dare, even reachable on foot.

Talking of walks,  we offer a multi-day walking programme that takes in the temples of Jageswahr and staying at even more remote little villages in Binsar. The area allows for great birding and possible sightings of larger wildlife. In springtime the higher forests are awash with the white, pink and crimson colors of the flowering rododendron trees.

The lodge is a great getaway for couples and families wanting to shake of the dust of the plains, breathe some fresh air, immerse in slow village life and enjoy organic, homegrown pahari food.
