Misty Mountains
Short Stay - Sikkim
About MISTY MOUNTAINS
A Kumaoni heritage home built in the late 1800s is the cultural and festive hub of the surrounding villages. Built out of stone, the home has an old world charm, with a large open courtyard in the middle, old wooden carvings for decor and refreshed paintings. The property is located at the highest point of the village, at 1500m (close to 5,000ft), surrounded in all directions with rolling hills covered with thick oak forests and punctured by small hamlets. A small stream cuts through this wide valley as it makes it way to the Kosi river downstream. The only Sun temple in the Indian Himalayas is located close to the village and on your trek there, you may run into sadhus to accompany you.
