The old Mysore Manor

Short Stay - Mysore (Karnataka)

About THE OLD LODGE

This 110-year-old heritage home was restored by two gentlemen passionate about creating an oasis at the birthplace of Ashtanga Yoga. Situated in the heart of the city, it is enough to make Mysore a destination rather than a pitstop. The Manor 1911 is nestled in a quiet neighbourhood with a massive 26,000 square foot garden and a courtyard in the centre of the house. Go on a journey to an era where time wasn’t just a luxury.

There are innumerable heritage buildings all around Mysore built by the Maharajahs and this is one of them. These buildings can be identified by the sandalwood colour used to paint the exteriors. They are often well maintained and are used for different purposes like government offices, hotels, courts, and research institutes. The vernacular of these buildings reflects Indo-Sarsenic, Greco-Roman, Hoysala, and European styles. They are reminders of the bygone era.

Come enjoy Mysore’s rich heritage while staying in one of these carefully preserved homes. Visit us and return to your gated sanctuary where yoga, arts, rest and relaxation are guaranteed.
